Toyland Toyland is a documentary by director Ken Sons, which introduces you to inventors behind some of the world’s most popular games, and also follows a game designer, Tim Walsh, in his journey creating a new game. It has won several awards, including Best Documentary at the 2010 Naperville Independent Film Festival, the 2010 Cine-World Independent Film Festival, and the 2010 Chagrin Documentary Film Festival. Here is summary of the film: “Welcome to the high stakes world of the 22 billion dollar toy industry, where fun and fortune awaits those who know how to get inside the mind of a child. Meet the inventors behind the biggest toys and games in history while following the up and downs of game designer, Tim Walsh. From prototype to pitch, follow Walsh along his winding road to New York City’s Toy Fair, one of the largest trade shows for toys in the world.
